The floating hotel rooms were absolutely adorable. They were quaint through and through with a just the right size living and sleeping area and two adorandeck chairs on the front deck. The sunsets were beautiful and the people we met were fantastic. If your an uptight, heavy spender who must have luxury, this place is not for you. But, if you love down to earth people, relaxation, and atmosphere between the water and great company, then you must visit this place. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!
There was nothing, and I mean nothing to complain about. And I am being truly honest.
Staying on a boat - good fishing
I liked that it wasn't fancy. I stayed in an old Florida Bungalow. It was quiet and peaceful. Daily walks on the dock to enjoy sunrise and sunsets. Just what I needed to de-stress.
Kitchen not clean enough for my comfort.
Suggest you sleep in your car. Its bad, double bad. I love the water but this place is a truly bad. The web pictures look great, be ready for a major disapointment. . The house boats are dirty, have bugs, and mold. Picture a really run down camping cabin.
We booked the floating boats for one reason only, we were on our honeymoon traveling around Florida and wanted to stay somewhere quirky.... That it was :-) We stayed for two nights, bought cheap fishing rods from k mart, and relaxed on the bow of our little boat. We ate at two restaurants that were both in close walking distance and both did great food. Catch 53 and Island fish company. We had a great couple of nights :-)
The floating rooms (house boats) are small, yet very idyllic. Each has a small deck up front with big and comfortable lawn chairs where we watched the sunset across the bay, drinking wine, listening to the birds (and air conditioning unit ;) ), and watched fish jump in the water.
I love the view and the privacy.
The bed is horrible. Hurt my back. If they upgrade I will stay next year.
It was a fun experience at Sea Cove. We would go back. It is on the water and the location is good for the keys.
We loved the houseboats they are so cute. We fished from the deck. The boat ramp was good and we were able to dock the boat right there.
this is not a resort its a dumpy motel. the room was disgusting and not clean. Bathroom was dirty and had hair all over. there was no beach or swimming place not even near by. there was no room maid service. you had to chase someone down to get clean bath towels or any toilet paper. we tried to call and confirm or even find out about anything of the place ,but no one ever called us back (they had 2 months). Roaches are running around. I was born and raised in Florida and wont even put up with those bugs. would not recommend to anyone.
The price and location. It was old but clean and staff was accomodating.
We had to change rooms because they had not reserved two spaces. Old and being renovated but clean.
made a lovely change spending the night on the floating room but unfortunately my wife was bitten by bugs during the night which spoilt the stay.
This could be a cute place if the owners cared enough to update. Long neglect has rendered this facility one we would never use again. The location was good for the activity we had intended.
The owner was very friendly, and was happy to recommend two good restaurants for supper.
It is expensive for what it offers. Main gripe - there is no room cleaning service. We had to make our own beds and reuse our wet (and thin, and small) towels. There were only two small sachets of shampoo, for two people staying for two nights. There is no way to make coffee, no glasses for water, no hairdryer. It is not for light sleepers - the blinds left the room very light, and we had the bungalow closest to the main road, which meant the traffic noise was considerable throughout the night. I also heard every moment of the neighbors going at it, an unpleasant experience. Lastly, the wifi coverage isn't great. I spent much time standing at the door with the laptop to get coverage, while the neighbor chose to sit on our porch for better coverage.
Nice location, friendly people, very relaxing, aiso very laid back just as it should be we'll be back
Nothing it's all good
